Who robbed Spain? You lot did. No one forced you to take out loans or get into debt.

But congratulations on burying yourselves -- I'm sure you'll love your new owners.

The strong will survive.
Art, I have to agree with you!

As this protest movement gathers momentum across Europe, I'm sure the politicians are getting nervous.  I'm certain that the transnational corporations will soon put pressure on the governments and demand that harsh counter measures be taken.    I believe you are right,  the solution then is to take all your money out of your banks and portfolio's if you have one or two and then lets see what austerity measures will be taken on the banksters when the money is gone!  When your in a casino and place a bet and you loose, do you go to the people of that city and place austerity packages on them so you can get your money back on a bad bet/speculation?   I don't think so!!!  It appears to me that all the treasuries of the countries involved have already been robbed so the only thing left is to get the assets from the people!  Now I want your food off your table and clothes that you wear!!!!    I am already placing you into bankruptcy!  And by the way, I have passed a new trespassing law so when i see you out on the street I will have you arrested.  There is your new shelter!

Revolution wont change unfortunate Income / Expense numbers on balance sheet. Next Leadership will have the same problem as current govt and the numbers can only be fixed by going in the direction of balancing them so that income is more or the same as expenses. Yes people are angry but the people who robbed spain live in Israel.

Stop spending money you dont have.....Its not a hard concept to understand and wishing your income will be better in the future to cover existing over burdening costs will not solve the problem. Reality hurts but must be addressed. Books dont balance themselves. The books only balance when: YOU STOP SPENDING THE F*ing MONEY YOU DID NOT EARN YET! and that means cutting your costs unfortunately. Its not a nice position but its REALITY!

AUSTERITY IS ESSENTIAL...NO OTHER OPTION EXISTS. (unregistered) 13.05.2012 11:44

When your Income is less than your outgoings the solution is never to borrow more. Neither can you spend your way out of it as america has proved recently and only made their nation further in debt. Budget realities dont improve until you stop living beyond your means. We can no longer compete with asian efficiency so we must pay the price of being non competative. Austerity is a temporary pain and things will be better later once the defecit is eliminated to a reasonable level. Once budget is in order we can tell the banksters where to go and never borrow from the IMF or world bank again. THIS POLICY IS THE TRUE RD TO FREEDOM FROM IMF BANKSTER USURY. THE RIGHT PATH IS ALWAYS THE MOST DIFFICULT PATH.

Nothing will improve, all will get worse (unregistered) 13.05.2012 07:09

The evil and malice of politicians in Brussels and their ties with macrocorporations are beyond what you can imagine. People claim to be 99% but only 0.001% of population really demonstrates. Madrid and periphery has around 7 million people. Only 10.000 turned at Puerta de Sol. Nothing will ever change. This is the total economic demise, people will be evicted and indebted for life. I am seeing daily people digging in garbage containers something that 5 years ago only drunkards  would do. People can march as much as they want, that will never change anything. They will have to accept their fate that there is no hope and return to live with their parents or share flat with some 18 other people, sleeping in the corridors in sleeping bags etc, eating whatever they can get from the church food queue, and work spare days a month if they are lucky. If they try to get violent, they will be met with bullets and tear gas, curfew and things like that. Why do you think in Europe citizens don't have the right to carry weapons ? Precisely for things like this. If the Greek had had access to Kalashnikovs the government would be long go, the banks would have been nationalised and people would have taken corporations and would have turned them into cooperatives to work. They would have taken houses and apartments and would have reduced the price to 10% so that everybody could have afforded it.

But they can't do that. So they will simply perish. Won't reproduce, won't bring kids, only the privileged will live fine, and this will be the beginning of a doom world that has been unknown to date.

Governments around the world have sold out to money. Governments need to put thier heads together and demand corporations/big business put some of the money back into circulation instead of not paying taxes, hiding it away in another country and sitting on it. This is without a doubt a full scale class war, people didn't realize it until the wealthy had already bought their governments and that puts them at a serious disadvantge.

Spain, just as any other European country, must get out of NATO, where they are wasting millions of Euros on a monthly basis. While being a member of NATO they have to send thousands of troops to "serve" their country in all regions occupied by US/NATO. If Spain cancels its membership in that criminal organization, spain should be able to use those millions of Euros to improve the life condition of the Spanish people.

There are too many contradictons in Capitalism. History has shown that when contradictions embrace each other the result is Violence and death. This has been the history of the economic system the Western warld has adopted. Here we go again in Europe. Europe has been set upon a path of economic demise and the final out come is that big Corporations the world over stand the benefit with the economic collapse of Europe. Look we have 1918, 1929, 1945 and now. 1% of the US economically runs the US and the West, the recent Capitalist wars in Persian Gulf and Africa is an example where Capitalism is trying as usual to use wars to resolve contradictions. There must be another way out.
