For me, watching the original video there is no doubt about Angela Merkel's mistake. I don't think she is so ignorant, she received her doctorate in quantum chemistry in 1986, long before she was involved in politics, but this is embarrasing and in my opinion it makes clear that she doesn't handle very well so important subject as geography for a high level political person.

The difference between what you see in the video and what the claim here is that the background is a total different one. They talk about % amount of sth and not WHERE capitols are. When you look at the map there is no stick for Berlin and Angela Merkel asks if this should be berlin when there is no stick and they obviously talk about sth of Berlin.-> She asks it not because she doesnt know where Berlin is she asks because the map is made very unproportional the difference is she doesnt say is there berlin she says is that berlin at your ( what she doesnt say -> BAD MAP)Its the background that makes the difference. Be sure in one of the most successful economic countries in the world our leaders KNOW where Berlin and Russia is. I think even your Russian leaders KNOW that this is not reality. And btw the Germans arent arrogant we just want to live our lives in peace and in wealth.

THE TRANSLATION BY RT IS COMPLETELY WRONG! .

1.) She didn't ask if Berlin is here. She asked if that stick on the map is supposed to be Berlin, because there is no stick where Berlin really is.

2.) She didn't asked what is here, she wanted to know what the stick in Russia is supposed to be.

I like RT but as I am German i can tell you this is Propaganda.

If or when Germany unharness itself from US hegemonic control and rid itself of American military occupation it will discover its future salvation lies with close ties with Russia. Russian has many minerals that Germany industries need especially petroleum. So Merkel did no err, it was a signal of what is to come. Recall even Lennin had respected Germany in the old days.

Watch the video closely again. take a look the exchange between Ms Merkel and the other woman; Merkel moves to pointer far to the East and said “Berlin should be here”! She made huge stroke of moving the pointer far to the East! So what happened to the countries between Rusland and Germany? I do not believe Ms Merkel’s comment is accidentally. The question is why?

Brilliant analysis! Another point is that making this little map was no accident and the staging of what seems a harmless unguarded moment is not all that innocent. I thought so from the first moment. The question is who is the audience this little PR stunt is aiming to enlist?

If you look REALLY closely at the video, you'll see Merkel BRILLIANTLY is suggesting that the German capital of BERLIN SHOULD BE IN RUSSIA....and that all the Russian place names were deliberately left blank, so that they could be RENAMED IN GERMAN.


A ctually what's really going on here is that Merkel like many Germans (plentyfull included), has an inflated opinion of how big & important Germany is, and they are often shocked to see how insignificant Germany really is...especially compared to their mortal enemy, Russia.

And what is Ms Merkel’s game? RT did not add anything here. We can all see this video is not innocent. We just do not all agree with what Ms Merkel is trying to signal.

RT you guy's sorry to mention it but if you listen closely and look at the video a little bit better you would notice the sarcasm. This article actually well to put it bluntley says more about mrs Merkel intelligence then the one beïng found here on whoever wrote and approved it.
