St. Louis, Missouri! Ferguson!
I hope the people will destroy Monsanto.

Why in a world of protection against harm to humans and animals is this corporation allowed to continue ? Unless the governments of the world feel the need to control the worlds population via the food chain !

I could understand genetic crop just for fuel but not for consumption !

the hybris of thinking that we can in just a few years "improve" what mother nature (or natural selection if u prefer) took millennia to perfect will backfire not only on those who commit it but on those who tollerate it as well..

Pro -active appeal:LABEL NON-GM FOODS!
I do agree that Monsanto must prove by testing (before issuing its product to the world, hungry or not) that its products are safe.
HERE IS WHAT WE SHOULD DO PRO-ACTIVELY AND NOW! We should do all we can to get "CONTAINS NO GMO'S" labels stuck on every product that can prove it has no gmo's! Let's give the non-GM food growers and producers a leg up!!! Let's help the organic farmers have some weight and impact, and they can expand and maybe even reduce their prices. I say LABEL NON-GM FOODS!

If pesticides are being used in Argentina, then it is in everyone's best interests – the public, the government, farmers, industry, and Monsanto – that the use be stopped.

Yes, we need a GMO law, a law that requires all corporate executives to eat nothing but GMO food. If GMO is all that good, they should have no problem with this.

Liam Wilson 25.10.2013 11:10

The eugenic fascists did not die out in 1945. They are alive and well. Its funny how every ten years or so an industry emerges like the tobacco industry claiming their products are safe. Every time it turns out yo be a lie. The GMO industry has got to be the worst example in living history. The very fact they won't allow independent verification of their products the world over indicates there is something grossly wrong.

"The absence of reliable data makes it very difficult to establish trends in disease incidence and even more difficult to establish causal relationships. To our knowledge there are no established causal relationships," Helscher said.

Isn't it Monsanto's job to prove it's safe, rather than citing lack of evidence as a defence?

STOP Obama's Fast Track trade authority. STOP Trans Pacific Partnership that overrides national sovereignty in favor of multinational corporations.

I highly recommend this 1 hr. video on Youtube. "Howard Vlieger - Iowa Farmer & GMO Crop Expert part1" Howard is a researcher on GMO crops. He shows pics of Bt corn induced ulcers in hogs stomachs and perforated, bleeding intestines. These types of health problems clear when Bt corn is no longer fed to other hogs in the same group. Sounds a lot like Irritable Bowel Syndrome and other digestive problems that are becoming epidemic in humans. If the Trans Pacific Partnership is signed by Dec. 31. Monsanto will SUE any and all cities, counties, States and nations that make laws against GMO as trade infringements.

Charles 24.10.2013 20:17

If independent studies show Monsanto's adverse effects on humans and the environment, then why are the governments not putting a stop to this "evil". Is it because it is just another way of controlling population apart from wars and economic "manufactured&q uot; disasters?

@Helical yes threre is enough evidence against monsanto !
Monsanto's internal documents, many of which are being posted here for the first time for the world to finally see, uncover a shocking story of corporate deception and dangerous secrets. As The Washington Post revealed [Monsanto Hid Decades of Pollution" (front page, Jan. 1, 2002) and Monsanto hid its advanced knowledge of the health effects and vast PCB pollution problems from the public and - most importantly - from its closest neighbors, the people of Anniston.

This is just one article , compiled by RT News, to prove GMO is bad news.

Is there enough medical evidence to prove Monsanto unsafe? ( in Op-Edge section).

If the research papers were released GMO crops would be classed as TOXIC.

Chemicals are our new contraceptions it will be to late when people start dying of chemicals which are being put into everything that we buy. At the rate that are going we won't need plans in place to depopulate the world.

Agnes Maria 24.10.2013 15:30

Monsanto denies everything. They are irresponsible cowards. Rich, stupid, irresponsible service to self cowards.

Binodabihari Pradhan 24.10.2013 12:05

Monsanto,Bayer,Union Carbide and such others-the so called supporters of farmers are in true sense business bogies bur-glaring farmers after infusing slow poison to their blood-streams.Scienc e is not so developed to day to identify the dark side of application of glyphosate–Roundup . Truth will be unveiled in future. However, it being a killer of living ones(weeds) is surely harmful to human cells also. These companies will switch over their business silently on to some other products if scientific profs will be available. They should be banned for producing chemical byproducts lest civilizations will be at peril..

The Quantum Left 24.10.2013 11:03

If Monsanto is so sustainable how come people who deal with their products are dying all over the world?! Monsanto is a pure environmental disaster. We were told for years that agent orange was safe, where did that get us? Oh yeah, millions dead, waterways destroyed, and the land poisoned for the next thousand years in some places. Excellent sustainability.....!

Penny Melko, I was present when Edison sprayed Bayer Espanade 200 SC around a phone pole on my property in So Cal so I rushed out to find out what was going on. I am quite sensitive to pesticides and many chemicals, often becoming dizzy or disoriented. Neither our nearby bee hives nor I experienced any problems from this pre-emergent herbicide, which, incidentally, is completely odorless at the concentration it was used in my neighborhood. Pesticide Action Network does not even list it by the active ingredient indaziflam. I am unable to find any negative information on the Internet in my research.
