10.12.2013 03:39

NASA says Curiosity rover has found signs of an ancient freshwater lake on Mars that existed 3.5 billion years ago and may have supported small organisms for tens of millions of years, but doubts remain of the origin of the organic matter.

LOL .. You're a total etc.,etc., Glad you don't live in the US, or you would have been an Obama Supporter.

As a matter of fact, this myth is mostly an American one, (go figure) and its strongest adherents tend to be extremist anti government Libertarian types..

. They have been working in good faith to find any evidence at all that, maybe, there is small chance that life may have, existed there millions of years ago and have come up with nothing. I'm betting very confidently that Mars is a dead rock and always has been. There will be no life on Mars until we get there

More American lies. There aint no rover on Mars just like there was NEVER a manned moon landing. Wake up prolls

Curiosity took its own portraits. It does it using two of its own cameras on an arm and on a mast, stitching together many smaller photos to get a photo of the whole rover.

Top left of this picture show two perfectly straight edged rocks shaped like a topless pyramid, the one in front is just a tad smaller than the other. No way are the straight edges on the rock formation over to the top left are natural...no way.

For those of you asking about the second picture....you do realize theres more than one rover on mars right???

Nandhini Sukumar 13.12.2013 07:07

Right now the researchers are driving Curiosity along a 6 mile path to the base of Mount Sharp -the primary mission destination – which they hope to reach sometime in Spring 2014

I hope they are not trying to say that the second picture with the rover is from Mars. I mean, who too the picture?

Candide Schmyles 10.12.2013 17:35

I do not know if this is indeed tentative evidence that life was resident on Mars. However given the nature of the comments so far there is strong evidence that I am truly insane. Why? Because if you are in a place where everybody is insane it is powerful evidence that you are also.

News flash, look at the picture real good, thats what this planet will look like eventually. We are losing our atmosphere a little bit at a time hence the weather paterns. Yeh we're polluting it also but thats just making it happen faster.

Kirk Gregory Czuhai 10.12.2013 06:13

throughout all this stuff about life on mars i seldom see the mention of how this life if ever present, survived radiation from the sun. is it not true that mars does not have a magnetic field which on earth shields us from much cosmic rays? also what about the "ozone hole" on mars? they say a lot of people have already volunteered to be the first to go to mars!!!!!!! perhaps they are used to living in microwave ovens?!!! i dunno!!!!!!!
