April 24, 2012 23:15

Well there we go, we have an agreement on austerity measures by 5 parties we will reform and hit the 3% afterall. So stop worrying so much reading the non-European press gives you a heart attack thinking the end is neigh. It's all alarmist bs intended to distract you from your own economic misery and allowing you to blame it on foreigners.Ignore it especially if it's the Netherlands who's willingness to reform and cut spending is doubted.Silly people.

The Netherlands is more then capable of making necessary cuts and introducing reforms as they have shown in the past.

... .and then you woke up.............
T here won't be a alarmist news report about it thats for sure.Otherwise I would gladly take your bet.The budget will be below 3% in 2015 and the Netherlands will have reformed it's housing market as well as it's labour and pension system. We are not like the PIIGS who failed to reform for decades upon decades despite being told repeatedly to do so.

The problem is the party that supported abandoning the euro is one of the most hated ones in the Netherlands at the moment, besides all the billions of euro's Netherlands put into Greece. I say sweet dreams abondoning the Euro we will be stuck to it for a while. :(

What the Euro brought me personally: 12 years ago I worked for a wage in Dutch Guilders, now I earn the same, but in Euros, and prices are the same now in Euros as they were 12 years ago in Guilders, which is 2,2 times more. And nowadays, a bigger percentage of my net-wage is spent on rent, energy, taxes and health-insurance. These are the blessings the Euro brought.

It's fun to speculate on these things i guess, also distracts and gives people foreigners to blame for their own economic woes. But the Netherlands is not going to leave the Euro unless the fringe parties like the PVV manage to get 76 seats in the 150 seat parliament. The chances of that happening are extremely small the PVV currently has 24 seats out of 150.In opinion polls they are around 20 seats. And the highest they have ever been is 31 seats. They would need to jump very high in order to leave the Euro.No it's more likely the Netherlands will get fined 1.4 billion euro's for not having it's budget below the 3% demanded in 2013.It's currently at 4.6% Also the government that is now leaving already cut €18 billion off the budget in 2010 the €14 billion would have come on top of the €18 billion. That would be like the US government cutting around $400 billion off their budget. The Netherlands is more then capable of making necessary cuts and introducing reforms as they have shown in the past.

If the Euro (and USD) collapse, doesn't this play into the hands of the NWO by allowing them the opportunity to adopt a universal currency - thereby cutting off the poor people from poor countries?

By wishing for the collapse of the Euro, let's make sure we do not allow the NWO another means with which they are able to enslave us with their debt instruments.

True freedom is about being debt free.

The sooner euro collapses the better for most European countries. The only thing that euro has done is drive up prices in every European country. In poorer countries people absolutely hate it as merchants have taken advantage of the confusing exchange rate and jacked up their prices.  I recall times when Finland joined euro. A taxi ride from the seaport to the airport used to cost around $25. After euro it cost over $60. A simple lunch at the airport restaurant cost over $50 after euro, about twice what it used to cost before. It is even worse in countries that joined euro later. Europe has had enough of austerity that it does not deserve. There has never ever been a country whose bankruptcy has not been forgiven. Take Ecuador for example. It makes much more sense to live on borrowed money and then declare bankruptcy than squeeze your own people and pay others' debts, so that others can live at someone elses expense. Only enemies of their own people indulge in austerity measures, especially in well doing economies.

I work and pay taxes in Holland. I was really glad that this government collapsed after years of price hikes and their squabbling over moronic issues to take still more money from us, while ignoring the real needs of the country (i.e. Plans that would benefit society as a whole)  The bank disasters, high bonuses, and coffer thievery has reached an end.  Little pigs get fatter, but Big Pigs get eaten. Fire up the BBQ!

Beatrix, the queen of Holland is changing her undies much often now as her Kingdom hit Dead End. Since US and Russian special forces are in an operation to take Denver airpor t and CIA Headquarters, who will Beatrix rush to for protection of an angry and furious mob whom the Royals have explored for many hundreds of years? Surface of Earth is too small for them to hide and the only salvation is Agartha-the inner Earth where their masters Archons hide.

I wonder if the EU will insist on installing a 'Eurocrat' in Holland like Italy and Greece, or will they all limp along until September?

Hey, I support not only a 3% but a ZERO % debt per year. As I have learned as a kid, you can't spend what you don't have. As far as saving 15 billion in the budget, easy, cut politicians wages, their Mercedes cars, their exhorbiant pension schemes and the cut the military spending and voila you have a surplus to spend on education, health and roads.

If Geert Wilders, who withdrew his government support, had his way we would leave the Euro. And he has a good point that Brussels gets more and more power over our money. The latest is the Dutch pension funds, to which many NL people payed a lot but we may have to share this with countries where people weren't saving their coins. Also the big amounts of public money, used to save the banks, that has now to be cut on budgets for care for older people doesn't make us very happy. The gap between what the people want, and what govt. does is getting higher, the people think back of the guilder, that was strong, but politicians don't want to lose their faces bringing up the issue that the Euro was a failure, at the expense of all citizens. I keep my fingers crossed here in the Netherlands

What?? Your politicians didn't approve our mass bankster mugging as planned? Oh, come now, Dutch people! Hand over your social safety net to us! It's money and we WANT it. Don't fight us, it will only excite us more. Remember, austerity builds character!!

But isn't this the ultimate plan of the NWO? To bring about the collapse of the Euro followed by the USD?

To say that one country will bring about the demise of the Euro is a bit misleading... as if that country has any say in its own internal affairs.

Stay tuned.
