What was interesting about this article, is that a proportion ordinary Americans, lacked basic morality and thought it was OK to torture. Its hard to assess, how big that group was in statistical terms. However, it should be a wake up call, to those who think, it is just the the politicians who lack morals. This defeats the arguments, that the American citizens are at odds with their blood thristy politicians. On the contary, they are very much on board with them, showing that a portion would quite happily torture Russians and put them in Orange suits in camps. I am glad this information came out, to expose the myth of the passive, peace loving citizen, who if only they could persuade their politicians to give up all arms, then they could live in perfect peace and harmony in the world. Basically, it is the other way around, with some citizens needing to be re-educated by the polititians or whoever else can restore a moral backbone to the US, because it badly needs it.; to listen to some comments, it is clear that a portion of the US population are barbarians.
