The usual refrain from governments following any such incident is to say; 'the terrorists won't win'. Then they introduce laws that does the complete opposite and shows that the terrorists have gained a victory by enforcing change. I never fully understood why Norway conducted Breivik's trial in the manner that they did, allowing him a platform to propound his views, but I see that they have been true to their word and have not introduced draconian laws that restricts freedom for all and causes an upset in the way of life. Contrast this with the US and the UK, who have some of the harshest restrictions in the world on their citizens freedom . I think for this Norway should be applauded.
