Den of antiquity: Flower reanimated from 30,000yo seeds

February 21, 2012 12:45

Russian scientists have resurrected a flowering plant from 30,000-year-old seeds found in an Ice Age squirrel’s treasure chamber in the Siberian permafrost. This pioneering experiment paves the way for the revival of other species.

what a load of non sense, this is propaganda for the evolution theory..what 30,000 years old if the earth is roughly 6000 years old?
It may even someday be possible to bring back people primitive enough to agree with you. I believe it Was the Cro-magnons who had a cranial capacity similar to yours.

I am sorry but the Earth and human civilization are both older then 6.000 years. They have dated back the Sfinx to 11.000 BC. It is virtually impossible for a world to be born and be stable as it takes millions of years.

Nah a lot of Russians 22.02.2012 03:04

are good people. The Putin Cultists are their downfall.  Most of the good Russians live in other countries.

It's funny, Russia needing state funded institutions, while private American schools (the best in the world) could have done that on their own over a weekend.
Russia is truly a shell of a dead country, decaying, refusing to accept they are no longer a sphere of influence. No one in America finds their empty words to be a threat, nor does the world.
Path etic. I also find it amusing that they poured kerosene down the ice hole in the Antarctic to keep it from freezing- an obvious and blatant move at corrupting what was found there.

. This reminds me of another news article years ago... about a dead body exhumed to regenerate the deadly Spanish flu. " Body of dead aristocrat who died of Spanish flu exhumed " "The body of an aristocrat who died nearly 90 years ago has been exhumed in a bid to help scientists combat a future flu pandemic." .

Not a good idea to start tinkering with things long dead.  Can you imagine the angst if they bring your long dead mother-in-law back to life?   Frightening thought.

This is one of the reasons I do love the Russians! When the imperialist are thinking what nation to devastate next, what civilization to destroy next, the Russian are reviving dead species! May Allah/God bless these Russian scientists and protect them from all harm coming to them and their families, friends and the Great nation of Russia.
