Georgia's opposition presidential candidate, Badri Patarkatsishvili, is ready to withdraw his candidacy. That's according to his press-service in Tbilisi.
On Tuesday, the Georgian government accused Patarkatsishvili of plotting a coup, after revealing a video tape with him talking to top Interior ministry official.
Media tycoon, who lives in London, funded opposition protests in November, which ended with violent clashes between demonstrators and police. And since joining the presidential race he never came to Georgia to take part in January 5 election campaign.
Meanwhile, Georgia's Central Election Commission hasn't got any notice from Patarkatsishvili.
