Patriarch’s disappearing watch act: Now you see it, now you don’t
April 05, 2012 11:38
A scandal over a timepiece on the Patriarch’s wrist rocked the Russian blogosphere after a watch “miraculously” vanished from one of his photos. The embarrassed Patriarch’s press service has already said it was “a ridiculous mistake.”

So, after 71 years of oppression, Russians have finally jumped out of the frying pan of Communism into the fire of the Church. Instead of Stalin and Lenin, it's worshipping Kiril and his army of bearded monkeys. How about this: instead of worrying about Zionists, look at how much money Kiril, Putin, Medvedev, Timoshenko, Yanukovitch and the other oligarchs have stolen and spirited away to Switzerland and the Cayman Islands. Now I understand Femen's motivation better. I'm ordering them dinner and buying them a golden chainsaw.
The issue is not why the photo has been doctored. The issue whether the Russian patriarch needs a $30,000 watch and the signals it sends. Or was it a present given to him?

Russian orthodoxs abuse money, Evangelists abuse gays, Catholics abuse kids. You decide which one is more evil.
******* *********Great post. Except fundies are a little more sinister than banning gays. They abuse individual freedom and trust. I still prefer the ROC.
"But in a sharp contrast to his words, some media published a photo of
the Patriarch showing a luxury Breguet watch with an estimated price
tag between 28,000 and 36,000 euro."
And such "church" is responsible for "religious" activities in Russia, amongst other things "patriotic" education of especially poor people. Not to mention the types of luxury cars they drive.
But then again a man of the cloth must keep pace with modern trends, like owning outrageously expensive things while on average there are more dope addicts and homeless children in Russia, than anywhere in Europe!
So is it the photo shopping away of the watch that is the Zionist conspiracy or the first picture showing the watch that is the Zionist conspiracy? Or...maybe it is both photos that is the Zionist conspiracy!!! Get real people...if anything, Russia's Jews would want to promote religious freedom in hopes that it would become more free for them.
The 24-year-old woman “acted out of stupid unjustifiable and unauthorized initiative” in editing the controversial images, they said.
---------- That is not a very Christian way to refer to anyone. They should show more respect towards women. People make mistakes. The reflection of the watch is still on the table in the edited version.
Typical of ALL religious heads
Be it the Pope, Dalai Lama, all the priests and fathers of the Christian faiths, Imams, this Patriarch and et al... material needs is what concern them most!
Religious teachings/gathering is a source of fund raising to upkeep their luxurious lifestyle!
Only Mother Theresa is a true religious figure that have had no desire for material needs of this kind!
Jew led opposition is tryig to harm Orthodox Christian chirch. They hate to see that christianity is thriving in Russia. This is one of the many attempts to throw mud at the Chirch. Jews should emigrate to some dark planet and build a large synagogue of satan there.
Photoshop FAIL... if you look at the second photo, the supposedly& nbsp;cover up you can clearly see the reflection of the watch on the shiny table surface.... hahah aha these people shouldn' t even try to lie....
No wonder the oligarky managed to steal all the assets of the Soviet Union and send them to England and Israel. So Boris was not only drunk,he was stupid too ! Or more correctly , no match for the organised jewry (aka mafia).
