The hard truth is that the present generation is unwilling to sacrifice to protect the future generations. It's as if they are saying: we had to deal with what our parents left us; you have to deal with what we leave you - no matter how grim.

...And this is not what the past generations said? - pretty ignorant, bud.

The flower power mum and dads have collectively not done the world many favours either. The present generation are standing before an unprecedented task and challenge in current human history you're probably not even aware of.

I going to take a educated guess and say this had nothing to do with hot weather or global warming, but those liberals want you to think that. The fact that the worst injury was a missing toe and finger then this attack wasn't a feeding frenzy. It's that time of season where their eggs hatch and thus the Piranhas were defending their nest nothing more... It was a defensive attack had they been on the offense and feeding on humans the injuries would have been far worse...

Whether Russia or the USA, all the developed world depends on fossil fuels for energy. All are capitalist, in one form or another. Their leaders and their peoples are short-term oriented. The former wish to hold power; the latter do not wish to pay for change. Warnings about global warming are unheeded. That is a future threat. The hard truth is that the present generation is unwilling to sacrifice to protect the future generations. It's as if they are saying: we had to deal with what our parents left us; you have to deal with what we leave you - no matter how grim.

Does it sounds like nature fights back? Did we do something wrong? Is anybody concerned? I don't think so. Do business as usual until we get cooked by heat waves, washed off by mega Hurricanes, burned by mega fires, drowned by mega floods etc. Until then we happily kill 30000 elephants a year, over fish species to extinction, clear forests to deserts. And most people go to get cheap stuff on Black Friday and consume and consume and consume and think I'm not doing anything wrong. Are we sane?

if any of the injured eat fish, you got what you deserved

Carnivorous fish? Name some that AREN'T! And to that person worrying about the climate . . . take your complaints to India and China. Once THEY reduce their FILTH then, perhaps, its worth talking about.

So we have freaky weather in Canada and North America and now this is South America.

I don't know about anyone else, but alarm bells are ringing for me! in terms of an escalation in the extreme weather globally.

I really do hope that Russia and China, but the rest of the world as well, are preparing for the global situation to get worse!
