A wheel fire is probably caused by sticking or overheated brakes. It happens, and the system is designed to isolate the fire to the tires, like it did. It seems the crew conducted an efficient and safe evacuation, and the Firefighters were right on the spot. The airplane should be back in service after a few days. Good work all around for our comrades in Moscow! I'll fly in Russia anytime.
