A parade of vintage vehicles dedicated to V-Day has taken place in Moscow. Featured were several “Pobedas”, an auto designed to mark Soviet victory in the Great Patriotic War – that chapter of WWII fought on Soviet soil.
Let us remember the fallen…At 7 pm Moscow time all federal TV and radio stations halted their programs for a period of silence to remember those who fell in the Great Patriotic War. This is a forty-year-old tradition observed annually on V-Day. |
