Unidentified gunmen shot dead police chief in Kabardino-Balakaria
The head of a police department for combating organised crime in Russia's Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria has been killed. Unidentified gunmen opened fire on the car of Anatoly Kyarov in the capital of the North Caucasian republic – Nalchik 
Kyarov was wounded and died in hospital. His colleague, who was inside the car, was killed and another three people at the site were wounded.
A hunt for the killers is underway.
