Dozen reported kidnapped in Ingushetia

Between 10 and 15 people have been kidnapped in Russia's southern republic of Ingushetia. Masked gunmen are reported to have broken into a gambling club some 20 miles north-west of the capital, Magas.

Two policemen have been killed and several people wounded in two separate drive-by shootings in the Russian north Caucasian Republic of Ingushetia. One of the attacks occurred near the airport in the capital, Magas.

One policeman died in an ambush and several people are reported to have been injured.

Another attack took place on the Kavkaz federal highway. Unidentified gunmen opened fire at a car in which two policemen were travelling from the Russian city of Rostov to Ingushetia. One of the men died, whilst the other was taken to hospital.

Earlier on Tuesday, another policeman was shot dead in his car by unknown gunmen.
