US 'feminist' nuns sent back to the cloister by new Pope

15.04.2013 17:44

Pope Francis has reaffirmed his predecessor's rebuke of the main organization of US Catholic sisters - the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR) - accused by the Vatican of "radical feminism" and of failing to obey church teaching.

You are living in la-la land, Kathrine Nisley. The Catholic Church is constructed around the ultimate boys club, supporters of nazism and mafia and chief oppressors of women. It amazes me any women bother to get involved with the sect at all. Where did any 'God' who has never bothered to make him/her/itself identifiable make unbreakable laws? In your convenient little male written 'bible' handbook? It is all in your head and your church the ultimate exploiter of your imagination. Pfft.

satan is at work through many of these feminist type groups. I don't consider them nuns nor sisters as they disobey the Church and the Holy See. May God have mercy on their souls.

Believe me the nuns of today couldnt hold a candle to the ones before them. These women dont look or act like the nuns that took care of the worlds needy , educated them, took care of them , dedicated their lives to the christ they are obligated to live thier lives like.

Do these sisters not realize that the law is not the Vatican's to change??? They need to take matters up with the Lord Himself. Our church has been a 'leader' when it comes to protecting women. If they don't agree with the laws of the Church, I am sure that they can find a church that does and they can join one of them.. We are not called to like or even understand the laws of God' we are just called to obey them..

I'll support female leadership the day the female leadership is female and supports procreative rather than recreative sex.

Another thing.I see him kind of guiding the church closer to original Christianity in its earliest days.It has so warped from its original form it's probably nearly nothing like it.Think of all the times the bible's been "edited" & all the removed content & entire gospels &even how its concept changed & how groundbreaking finding & translating the dead sea scrolls was.&those were just a few scrolls, I imagine the first written Christian bible was much larger.& they were originally about equality between sexes, helping those in need, against heirarchies, temples teaching we are all god in his temple every &anywhere.

People are expecting too much too fast from him.And he's done quite a bit in such little time.Remember when he washed the feet of the women inmates?I think whatever he does now and for the first couple years with send the ball rolling to ultimate change regarding women in the church. He's already changing the Vatican and I only see more good changes in the future.Remember he's one man among many and he has to remember them too.To get the big changes you have to spend many years making countless tiny changes.I think it'll happen, but it'll take a long time to reach to the final major goals.

Catholic teaching goes against Jesus. Christ has no sex- is neither male nor female. Christ is a spirit and all should be equal within the true church.

If they don't learn to adapt and get with the times, they will lose their female parishioners. Sad.

John Garang Chol 17.04.2013 12:41

Feminine leadership is a key to a more peaceful world. The catholic church is just one more institution that suppresses women.

Wonder if they are true feminist or the dreaded femnazis.

Anonymous user 17.04.2013 07:12

They hate women because they are not little boys...
