52nd Biennale festival in Venice gathers artists from all over the world

All year round Venice is one of the world’s most popular places to visit. The Biennale festival of contemporary art makes it an even more desirable destination.
Modern art is fun and interactive. Swedish artist Jacob Dahlgren proves it with his installation called I, The World, Things, Life. Anyone can create a work of art-just by throwing darts. Art has never been so much fun.
An untitled sculpture by another Swede Sirous Namazi instantly captures your attention. Doors and windows that don't lead anywhere – a riddle for the visitors.
The Serbian pavilion is a real treat for the eye. You can't walk past Mrdjan Bajic's large and colourful sculptures.
“It’s like you have a computer that doesn’t run very good, then you press Reset – and who know what will happen? Those sculptures are something which appeared after this reset,” says the author.
The Egyptian pavilion on the contrary has dim lighting and a calm atmosphere.
Then after all the video installations, crazy sculptures and other pieces of art that leave you wondering whether they're art at all we reach the Austrian pavilion. Fresh light – it's the prefect venue for the paintings by Herbert Brandl. His works are abstract and figurative at the same time. Seeing a proper oil-on-canvas work is becoming more and more rare during contemporary art expos. No interaction whatsoever just the good old captivate-the-viewers-by-great-art thing.
