Featuring vehicles from down the years, Moscow’s eighth international “Old-timer Gallery” auto show has opened, with more than 100 retro models presented under one roof.
You can find all kinds there, from elegant and expensive marques such as a Rolls-Royce Phantom, fancy and stylish cabriolets, and one painted jeans-style. The main aim of the exhibition is to find new owners for the motors, giving these masterpieces of design a chance to show themselves off and gain a second life, though some owners just want to parade their treasures in public. One highlight of the show is a flying machine, a German Messerschmitt fighter as seen in the skies during World War Two. It was found near Murmansk, north Russia, shot down in August 1944 by a Russian fighter.
