Norway’s all-time bestselling band A-ha is returning to Russia, with two gigs in St.Petersburg and Moscow. The legends of synthpop will promote their latest album “Foot of the Mountain” and farewell to their fans.

“It was about time that we reached out a little more,” says A-ha singer Morten Harket of the group’s new album. Released on 13 July on Universal Music Record Label (URML), the album marks a return to the classic pop sound that made A-ha one of the biggest acts in the world, selling 36 million albums. A-ha’s music has already become classic, in spite of the fact that the band keeps on recording future hits and releasing bestselling albums.

The trio from Oslo was formed in 1982, and through the first decade of their musical career, rose to the top of the hill. Along their creative path they’ve inspired millions with their positive attitude to life, lyrical feel and gentle sound bordering with rock.

A-ha is not new to Russians – here the band is also a favorite and a legend. They came to Moscow for the first time in 2001. A-ha appeared on stage of the Olympiisky Arena as part of their international tour across Russia and the CIS countries. Since then, they have returned in 2002, 2003 and 2006, proving to be loved and awaited.

After 27 years of recording and touring, the boys have decided to do one last show to say thanks to their most loyal fans, among which Russians clearly rank.

The concerts in Russia will be a part of their final world tour. In St Petersburg the concert will be held in the Ice Palace on November 20, and in Moscow the band will gig at the Olympiisky Arena on November 22.
