Over a hundred antique works of art have been found hidden in a car carrying boxes of apples and have been seized by the Russian customs office in St Petersburg.
It is believed that the rare artifacts came to St Petersburg from Germany, and were transported by a car which was shipped on a ferry.
Some works of art had Sotheby’s and Christie’s tags on them, including antique paintings, silverware, Japanese vases and plates.
Russian customs officers have also discovered six diamonds estimated at over $40,000 hidden inside the car’s upholstery.
