Russia's female athletes continue to do the business at the World Athletics Championships in Japan. They got off to a flyer on Day 7, claiming gold and silver in the Women's 20 kilometre walk as well as silver in the triple jump.

Olga Kaniskina was first to cross the line in the gruelling 20km walk, finishing thirty-three seconds ahead of compatriot Tatyana Shemyakina.  Spain's Maria Vasco finished third.

Long Jump specialist Tatyana Lebedeva showed she's pretty adept in the triple jump as well. The Olympic champion added a silver to her medal cabinet after narrowly being pushed out of top spot by eventual winner Yarhelis Savine of Cuba.
