Police are investigating a robbery at Anna Chakvetadze's Moscow region home. The Russian tennis player – currently ranked number six in the world – lost more than $US 200,000 in the attack.
Six masked men reportedly broke into the star's residence and tied up the 20-year-old along with her family before leaving with jewellery and cash.
The robbery comes at a time when Chakvetadze has had her best year on the court, reaching the top five for the first time back in September, and winning a total of four singles titles during the year.
