Bigger the better: mum welcomes 6 kg son

A woman in the Russia's Far Eastern city of Khabarovsk has given birth to a baby weighing 6.1 kilograms or nearly 14 pounds. The hospital's staff say the boy is almost twice the size of an average newborn. It's his mother's sixth child.
Russia's heaviest baby on record was born last year in the Altai region in southern Siberia and weighted 7.7 kilos.
However the world record is set on 10.2 kilos. A boy weighing that much was born in 1955 in Italy.
