The American pop princess has updated her tour dates for ‘The Circus Starring Britney Spears’ program and is now coming to Moscow and St. Petersburg for her first-ever concerts in Russia.

Spears will perform in St. Petersburg on July 19 and in Moscow on July 21. The concerts are part of her global tour “The Circus Starring: Britney Spears” launched in support of her latest sixth studio album, “Circus.”

“The Circus” has been named among the five best CDs in the charts of seven countries worldwide; 3,500,000 copies have already been sold.

The tour was officially announced on December 2, 2008 to coincide with the release of Britney’s sixth studio album. Rehearsals for the tour began in January 2009, in preparation for a March kick off.

Britney Spears – the American pop singer and actress, has established a number of records in the history of modern music: over 80,000,000 CDs were sold in less than 10 years; seven singles have become number one worldwide hits; four albums successively appeared in first place of the Billboard Top 200.

Spears occupies eighth place among the USA’s performers for the most recordings sold in history, according to the Recording Industry Association of America.

She is a skank! Dances like a clomping elephant. Mimes all her songs... do not waste your money.

Britney has sold out every single concert. She's doing pretty good. I agree that Russia and Europe should send more performers over here.

Well, she hasn't been doing very well in Canada or the US, so maybe she will do better at this first concert here in Russia. I was looking at her picture in this article and I must say that someone has altered her looks quite a bit. Her picture almost does not look like her. It would be nice to see some Russian performers come to Canada and the US
