Russian football club Spartak Moscow, despite already being knocked out of the tournament, had their sights on a UEFA Cup spot. And they got it thanks to a 3-1 victory in Lisbon.
Elsewhere, Bayern Munich came out on top against Inter Milan.Current holders Barcelona are through after 2-0 victory against Werder Bremen. London Chelsea retains their lead scoring two against bottom-seated Levski Sofia.In group C, Liverpool went down to Galatasaray but still finished at the top of the standings.Dutchmen PSV sit second despite being thumped at home by Bordeaux.And finally, Shaktar Donetsk failed to qualify for the next stage.Roma and Valencia progress from group D.
