Contemporary art exhibitions open in Moscow

Contemporary work from Mexico, Finland, China and Russia has gone on display at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art. Collectively titled 'Who Goes There?' the new exhibitions show a creative approach to the problems of the modern world.
The display offers a multi-dimensional look at contemporary art. Four new exhibitions, showing works from Mexico, Finland, Russia and China, have opened at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art.
Uniting them is the feel of modern life, with its conflicts and contradictions, seen through the eyes of young artists from very different parts of the world…

Hooligan art on display in Moscow'Gop art' is loosely translated from Russian as meaning 'art by hooligans'. Until now it's been looked down on as a lesser form of expression or even dismissed as not being art at all. But now, a major exhibition is showcasing their work. |
