Countdown for The Prodigy’s arrival to Russia

Along with Fatboy Slim and The Chemical Brothers, they became the pioneers of the big beat electronic dance genre. The Prodigy will arrive in Russia in October with gigs in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
The Prodigy was formed by Liam Howlett, the band’s composer and keyboards player, in 1990 in Essex, England. Shortly the band scooped mainstream popularity in the 1990s and 2000s, touring the world – Russia included.
The Russian concerts will be a part of the tour to promote their latest “Invaders Must Die” album. Their style developed through almost 20 years of the band’s history, raging from rave, hardcore, industrial and break beat in the early 1990s to electronic rock with punk vocal elements in later times.
The current band members include Liam Howlett, dancer and vocalist Keith Flint, and MC and vocalist Maxim Reality.
In Moscow the live show will take place in “Crocus Expo” exhibition centre which, according to the organizers, will hold one of the biggest raves in the history of Moscow – over 20,000 people are expected to attend the concert. Entrance fees range from $50 to around $170. How much tickets will cost for the performance in St. Petersburg has not yet been revealed.
The legendary trio will perform in Moscow’s “Crocus Expo” on October 9 and in St. Petersburg’s Winter Sports Arena on October 11.
