CSKA Moscow will play Amkar Perm in this year's Russian Cup final. Perm overcame Ural to clinch their big day out, while a wonder goal helped the Muscovites beat Tomsk.
On a cold and windy night at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium, it was CSKA who opened the scoring, when after 13 minutes, Russian international Yuri Zhirkov whipped in a beautiful hanging cross to leave Milosh Krasic with the simplest of tasks to head CSKA in front.
However, just before the half hour, Tomsk were back in the game, with captain Valeriy Klimov pirouetting in the box to smash home the equaliser.
From there on in though CSKA dominated, but chance after chance went begging.
After a foul on substitute Daniel Carvalho, who’d come on at half-time, Vasiliy Berezutsky's got the winner with an unstoppable free-kick.
Moscow side comfortably saw out the final moments for a 2-1 win and so booked their ticket to the Russian Cup final.
CSKA might be favourites for the final, but Amkar Perm showed in their win over Ural that they'll be no pushover.
It was a tight game, with not much to choose between the two teams, but Amkar got the only goal of the game with a strike from Dujmovic just after the break for a 1-0 win.
The two sides will be contest the final in Moscow on May 17.
