In April 2008 Google started offering a choice of themes for personalised homepages, made by professional artists from around the world.
“Today personalisation is key to the Internet. You're expressing yourself in your blogs, in the way you design your homepage. We always want to express our individuality, and it concerns the Internet as well,” believes Alla Zabrovskaya of Google Russia.
For the presentation of their iGoogle themes many Russian artists preferred to mix the traditional fashion show with video installation.
One of Russia's leading designers Elena Suprun stayed true to the feminine and elegant style of her clothing collections. Her iGoogle theme was poppies, which are Suprun's trademark.
