The deserts, beaches and reefs of the island of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean have inspired an up-and-coming Russian designer to create her latest 2010 spring-summer collection.
Anna Direchinas’s shown her collection entitled “Madagascar” at Russian Fashion Week.
It features eye-catching dresses made from weightless fabrics and colors that remind you of coral reefs and clear turquoise waters.
The young designer made perfect use of silk, chiffon, cotton, velvet, batiste and lace, which all help shape an ideal silhouette.Direchina has an eye for detail, so accessories play an important role in the spring-summer collection.
Shoes, belts and bags have been specially-made for Direchina’s “Madagascar” collection in Italy. Some creations have been decorated with crocodile and python leather.
Style for Direchina is an expression of individualism mixed with charisma. Among her Russian clients are movies stars, show-biz celebrities and TV personalities.
Direchina’s biggest professional achievement so far has been the presentation of her collection at Milano Moda Donna, where the designer was praised for her approach to fashion. And she hopes her love of “Madagascar” will bring her further success.
