Nikolay Skvortsov, Russia’s 200 metre butterfly bronze medalist, has revealed that dolphins play a big part in his success. He's been training with them, taking the saying “like a fish in the water” to a new level.

Skvortsov plays the role of an aspiring member of the dolphin pack rather than that of a world class swimmer. He imitates the creatures and tries to move in sync with the sea inhabitants in an effort to vary his training regime.

“I wouldn’t mind being a dolphin for a day, maybe even a week, just to try it out and see how it feels,” Skvortsov says.

Meantime, Russian swimmers showed brilliant results at the European swimming championships in Eindhoven, Netherlands, winning 19 medals, including eight gold ones.
