Dutch Feyenoord pays much for fans

Published: 19 January, 2007, 16:44

Dutch team Feyenoord have been thrown out of the UEFA Cup because of crowd violence at Nancy of France last November. The match had to be stopped for half an hour.

Originally UEFA only fined them but on appeal they have increased the punishment to an outright ban.

Feyenoord were due play Tottenham in the last 32 but now they are out, spurs are likely to get a bye to the next round
