Dutchman to referee CSKA Moscow - Lokomotiv Moscow match

Published: 28 March, 2007, 10:29

Defending champions CSKA Moscow take on Lokomotiv Moscow on Saturday in the Russian Premier League. The match will be refereed by a foreign judge – the Dutchman Eric Braamhaar.

Eric Braamhaar is the referee, who took charge of the Lille v Manchester United match in the Champions League – the match which saw the French team leave the pitch in response to a controversial goal from the visitors.

Foreign referees are nothing new in Russia, with the first appearing a couple of years ago. But not everyone is happy with the decision made by the Russian Premier League.
