An interesting career opportunity has surfaced in Russia’s fourth largest city, Ekaterinburg. The local parliament is looking to hire a "city manager."
The lucky applicant will be put in charge of the local economy.
Deputies say the mayor cannot deal with all the political and economic issues of a city with over 1.5 million people by himself, so the work will be divided.
The mayor will chair the local Duma and concentrate on political life, while the new "manager" will take care of the business end of things.
