One of the world's most influential celebrities Elton John has given a concert at the Russian Kremlin Palace. The pop singer presented his brand new “Red Piano” show for the first time in Moscow.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the concert programme mainly consisted of his old hits.

The singer was expected to perform in Moscow at the beginning of July but the concert was cancelled due to technical difficulties.

Elton appeared in St.Petersburg and Rostov-on-Don instead to make up for the cancelled dates, but with the old music programme.

There were rumours as to whether this concert would take place at all, although all the tickets sold out instantly.

Elton's next destination is Sochi.
