Fireworks festival lights up Moscow

Tens of thousands of people gathered on Friday at the capital’s Tushino airfield for the massive annual fireworks display, which is the sixth time it's been held.
Teams of pyrotechnicians from across Russia choreographed their complex fireworks routines to music, in what's become a staple event in Moscow's entertainment calendar.
This year's upbeat theme was designed to take people's minds away from the global recession. “Life Goes On” was its title.
