Flying tentacled monsters swarm Thai sky

In Thailand, teams from 15 countries are wowing crowds with their colourful creations at the International Kite Festival.
The event is an annual showcase for the latest innovations in kite design. Parachuting and balloon shows are also part of the festival.
Kite-flying has been a popular sport for centuries in Thailand, especially in the spring months of March, April and May when wind sweeps across the open fields of the country.
