CSKA Moscow have won this season’s Russian Cup final, beating Amkar Perm on penalties in a thrilling final in the capital.

With less than half an hour to go, CSKA were two goals behind and looked all but out of it.

After a goalless first half, Nikola Drincic broke the deadlock for Amkar soon after the interval. His long-range effort leaving keeper Igor Akinfeev glued to the spot.

Tomislav Dujmovich doubled the lead for Perm seven minutes later.

But CSKA's samba boys proved instrumental, as Wagner Love pulled one back just a minute later to give coach Valery Gazzaev a first glimmer of hope.

Then Jo scrambled the ball home 10 minutes later for a scrappy but precious fashion.

No more goals followed and ,as neither side managed to find a winner in extra time, the fate of the cup went to penalties.

Akinfeev was only beaten once in the shootout, as the Army men managed to score four.

The Muscovites lift the cup for the fourth time in their history.
