Football: Moscow's CSKA crash out of Channel One Cup

CSKA Moscow are out of the Channel One Cup in Israel after they lost 3-1 to Ukraine's Shaktar Donetsk.

Shaktar opened the scoring early in the first half through Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho.

It took just seven minutes though for the Army side to draw level. A well-delivered free-kick allowed Russian international Sergey Ignashevich to head home the equalizer.

But Shaktar went in front again through a Brazilian. This time Brandao's persistence paying dividends to put  the Ukrainians 2-1 up at the break.

The only other goal went the way of CSKA through an own goal by Vasiliy Berezutsky, sealing a 3-1 defeat for CSKA.

They go out of the competition. Shaktar progress to the final.

In the same tournament, Dynamo Kiev and Red Star Belgrade ended their match with a 1-1 draw.
