Georgia is safe for international football – FIFA

FIFA says Georgia will be able to play its World Cup 2010 qualifiers next month in the capital Tbilisi. Earlier this month, Georgia was judged to be too dangerous to host international matches following its conflict with Russia.
Their first qualifier against the Republic of Ireland was played at the neutral field in Germany. Without the support of its fans Georgia was beaten 2-1.
But now FIFA chiefs say there are no reasons to believe that the security standards will not be maintained at the country’s main arena, Boris Paichadze stadium.
Georgia will entertain Cyprus and Bulgaria at the venue for next month's World Cup qualifiers.
