The 54-year-old has been diagnosed with objectophilia, attraction to one particular object.
She said she fell in love with the Berlin Wall in childhood, when she saw ‘his’ pictures.
Theirs was a long-distance romance, as both were not frequent travellers.
The two eventually got ‘married’ in 1979, when the woman took the family name Berliner-Mauer, which means ‘Berlin Wall’ in German.
Somehow Mrs Berliner-Mauer got over the demolition of her ‘husband’ by ‘frenzied mobs’.
She now lives in a small village in northern Sweden, bur remains faithful to her life-long passion.
