Jazz legend shines at Moscow gig

Eric Marienthal has won two Grammies and he's released ten solo albums and three books on jazz. One of the top musicians in the world, the famous saxophone player has worked with Stevie Wonder, Elton John and B. B. King, came to Moscow to perform.
Marienthal says jazz unites different people and that's part of the challenge.
“Instrumental music doesn't have lyrics. But jazz is only about the melody, the feel, the groove of the music. Some times it is simple and easy to understand but some times it's not,” Eric Marienthal said.
The whole Marienthal's band consists of stars. When it comes to improvising guitar solos, Chuck Loeb has few rivals. As well as pianist Jeff Lorber, who is said to be one of the pioneers of the smooth jazz style.
With Marienthal and his musicians in the limelight, their gigs are destined for success.
