Hundreds of youngsters have been partying in central Moscow on June 1ST for International Children’s Day. And festival organizers had a big surprise for them – the biggest doll in Russia.

The five meter high puppet is no Barbie doll and it was enough to scare the pants off some of the kids.

It was assembled right on the capital’s Revolution Square so that spectators could see the whole process from start to finish. Clothes for the giantess were stitched together before being put on the special metal carcass.

The doll, a woman in traditional Russian dress, had with a mixed reception from the spectators. But it will remain on the square until June 18, before being taken to a Moscow orphanage.
