The first Festival of Light has opened in Moscow, bringing a holiday mood to the dull winter landscape. Six companies from the lighting effects industry have joined forces to brighten up New Year's Eve for Muscovites.
The designers were given complete artistic freedom, the only condition being that they should stick to the festival’s concept. The event is dedicated to children. This is echoed in the motto of the festival – “Growing with the City”.The compositions featuring magical forests and fairytale characters plunge the visitors into a world of fantasy. Those enjoying beauty combined with technology can also have their say. The winner among the lighting companies will be chosen by popular vote on January 10, at the festival's closing ceremony.
