Catching the metro in Moscow will soon no longer be the trip into the past that it currently is.
The city's underground has announced it will roll out a high-tech fleet of trains across the entire network.
These should ensure a more pleasant and safer journey. The new carriages will be equipped with air conditioners, information monitors and CCTV cameras.
To get on and off a train, passengers will have to push a green button to open the doors.
This will save energy by keeping the doors shut during less busy periods.
Metro authorities promise to finish installing the new trains by the end of the year.
