Mikhail Vorontsov to preside in Russian Premier League

Mikhail Vorontsov, the Saturn football club boss, has been elected the new president of the Russian Premier League. He won the most ballots in a vote cast by Premier League chairman.
Front runner and CSKA President, Evgeny Giner, surprised many when he decided not to run, in order to concentrate on his work at the Moscow club.The 2007 Premier league fixture list was also settled on at the meeting.Afterwards, the new president admitted his job would be difficult, but he hoped everyone would help him in his new role.
