After being accessible to the media and pros for the past week, the Moscow International Automobile Salon is now open to the public. Cars from the Chinese Geely to German Porsche are now at the Crocus Expo.

Every year at the end of August the Moscow Motor Show demands the attention of auto fans and automotive professionals. Having had a perfect rest at the seaside, he or she is ready to spend a day on looking at hundreds of shiny cars.

The Moscow International Automobile Salon-2008 is being held at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre for the second time.

When two press days and a business day come to an end, it’s high time to admit the over-curious masses inside the Motor Show stronghold.

The programme for ‘general admission public days’ is full of outstanding presentations. More than 60 car brands are on display, including best-selling models, concept cars and luxury vehicles.

Ekaterina Nikolaeva, a PR manager of Honda believes the Moscow Automobile Salon is really unique.

“It received the status of 'International' recently. The design of most of the stands satisfies European requirements.”

She hopes that, in future, exhibitions will be more exclusive and at an even higher level.

It's expected it will attract over 1.5 million visitors by the closing date of September 7.

All the mysteries of previous days have been revealed for journalists. Now it’s time for thousands of motorists to see all these world debuts with their own eyes. The Moscow motor occasion started on Monday.
