Moscow gives it up for 50 Cent

Curtis James Jackson III, better known by his stage name 50 Cent, has performed in the Russian capital as a part of his world tour. The concert, featuring 50 Cent’s new studio album ‘Curtis,’ attracted thousands of young rap fans.
The 32-year-old American rapper, who achieved multi-platinum success with his first two albums, appeared on the music scene at the end of 90s riding the popular wave of commercialised hip-hop culture.
Rap has gained international popularity, attracting interest from mainstream music lovers. It is now influenced by other music styles and in return influences them.
Audiences enjoy this mix, including Russian fans, who eagerly sing along with the artist, sometimes not even understanding the lyrics and what lies behind them.
