Those who like unusual music from different parts of the world have had a chance to explore exotic Indian tunes in the Russian capital. Famous Indian musician Shri Anila Deecksheeta has given a concert in Moscow's conservatoire.
The musician plays a popular Indian percussion instrument called the tabla, which consists of several hand drums of various sizes. Although in its native country the tabla is considered to be a very melodious instrument, for the Western listener this kind of music may seem strange and not tuneful or easy on the ear. Time is needed to “feel” the melody properly. Thus the Indian musicians even say it may take one’s whole life to learn how to play the instrument.
