Moscow tastes “Jazz Triumph”

Published: 16 February, 2007, 11:24

One of Russia's most prominent jazzmen, Igor Butman, has organised a festival dedicated to his biggest passion.   His tribute to music, presented at the Moscow International House of Music, is called “Jazz Triumph”.

Igor Butman has set up numerous jazz festivals – he cannot even say how many! “Jazz Triumph” is another project which gathered the creme de la creme of the jazz world.

One of the festival's foreign guests was Anne Ducros, a French vocalist with a classical education. She is a prizewinner of the Billy Holiday Award by the Jazz Academy.

Mr Butman says that Ms Ducros is one of many surprises he has prepared for Russian jazz-lovers.
